South Korea has 22 national parks spread out throughout the country, each offering numerous hiking trails to explore. Over the last four years I’ve authors dozens of articles and guides on these parks with the aim to make it easier for others to explore South Korea’s countless mountains. Whether you are a Korean resident, stationed here for a year or are just passing through on vacation, these no reason you can’t be out on the trail. This page is my launching page to help you see these parks and help navigate you to your next Korean hiking adventure.
Seoraksan National Park is South Korea’s premier park, known for having both the most difficult and the most beautiful trails.
Jirisan National Park, the first and largest park in South Korea, is famous for its 3-day, 2-night ridge hike that receives rave reviews.
Bukhansan National Park, close to Seoul, attracts the highest number of visitors in the country with its countless trails.
Woraksan National Park offers one of the easiest yet most beautiful hikes, Jaebibong.
Sobaeksan National Park is known for its stunning rolling hill peaks.
And that’s just the beginning; the remaining 17 parks each have their own unique appeal and attractions.
